General Dynamics Defense Products and Tactical Systems-Canada employs more than 1,350 employees in its 4 facilities in Quebec. It provides technical expertise in munitions design and development, product improvement and production of conventional and unconventional munitions by employing more than 260 skilled and experienced engineers, scientists and technicians.

Our Selection Process

1. Analysis Of Your Application

We will analyze your profile, work experience, and education based on the requirements of the position you have applied for. We will contact you directly if your application is selected for the rest of the process. 

2. Phone Interview

If we select your application, a human resources business partner will contact you to discuss with you and learn more about you, your motivation and your interest in the position. 

During this call, we will take the opportunity to introduce you to the company, our culture, the benefits of working for us as well as the next steps in the process and answer your questions. 

3. Selection Interview

Following the telephone interview, we may offer you a selection interview with the position manager. Other relevant people may also be invited to join us, in particular to give you an idea of the day-to-day life of the position. We will ask you more questions about your background, interests and knowledge related to the position. We want to get to know you better and give you the opportunity to get to know us better too! 

*Tests (If Required By The Position) 

Depending on the requirements of the position, we may ask you to undergo various tests following the selection interview. We invite you to inquire about the tests planned for the position you are interested in with the human resources business partner during the telephone interview.

4. 2nd Interview (Varies By Position)

If the first interview is successful and the result of the test(s) required by the position are satisfactory, you may be invited for a second interview. This interview is usually done directly on site, which allows you to meet your potential co-workers and visit the offices and some production workshops. We will take the opportunity to explore some of the questions in more detail following the first interview. Of course, this will also be an opportunity for you to ask more questions too! 

5. Pre-employment Checks And Medical Examination

If the previous steps are successful, we will contact you to validate that the job as well as our company corresponds to what you are looking for because it is important for us to find the right person for the position both on your side and ours. If everything is fine on your side, we will send you several pre-employment verification documents that must be completed and then returned to us. A pre-employment medical examination will also be scheduled with you to confirm that you are fit for the position 

6. Job Offer

Once we have received all the results, we will then be able to send you an offer of employment. We look forward to working with you!
